So today was about cheerleading and the beach.

Erica (Holly's neice) is in a cheerleading competion here and we got to watch the first part of the competition. Erica was very spunky and the kids enjoyed the show.
After the competition we headed out to the beach (Brad's favortie place) and the kids got to try out their new boogie boards.
This beach was perfect for them...the waves weren't too big, but just big enough to give them a nice push so they could feel what it's like to ride an awesome wave.
Being an extremely fair-skinned person from the North, it would probably make sense for me to apply sunblock 70 or higher right? How about sunblock 0? Yes - Brad, the moron (that's me) was out splashing around with the kids completely exposed to the sun's 120 degree rays. The folks at the South Padre Island burn center were extremely nice -- okay just kidding; it's not that bad but I've got a good stinger on my back. It was further aggrevated by Ellie's sharp toenails scratching my back at night too. Yooouch!
fantastic, and deeeeeeeee-licious Mexican Food
made by real Mexicans at a litle TexMex joint named Jesse's. Ohhh boy it was good. New Hampshire can take a few lessons from these folks. I mean - just fantastic.
We leave Sunday to start our long drive back to North Carolina. We'll have two stops along the way -- one in Beaummonth, TX and the other in Duluth, GA (just outside of Atlanta).
We will blog again when we get access....
All right! What a vacation you all are having! Where is your new dog Angel? What a surprise to get a dog on your trip!
