It's Brad here. I arrived in comfort via JetBlue (love them) Friday at 11:30 AM local time. The whole gang was at the airport to pick me up. By whole gang, I mean Rene, Heidi and their darlings along with The Jamieson Crew.
Man it was really nice to see Holly and the kids again. I hugged and kissed them all before the Austin Airport PD could yell at me. They appeared to be happy to see me too. I turned around several times in the car and Bailey just kept smiling at me.
We left straight for South Padre Island from the airport (5 hour drive). If you look at a map, you will find South Padre Island just a wedge shot away from Mexico.
Along the way we stopped in small town for gas and lunch at the local Dairy Queen. Standard practice down here is to serve gravy with fries...oh boy is that good. The kids (of course) all got a treat with their lunch - ice cream. However, once outside the establishment, the ice cream simply turned into cream in this 105 degree weather.We rolled into South Padre right around 6:00 PM, checked into the hotel and the kids were in the pool before i could say "Okay everyone - get your swimsuits...on."
The remainder of the night was spent visiting and catching up with Rene and Heidi and their kinder.
